Juniper is a plant from the family of Cupressaceae. From juniper berries spices for a wide range of dishes are produced and they are famous as the main ingredient for the production of gin, various meat sauces and essential oils. Juniper berries are blue, purple or bluish black. They contain essential oils, protein, natural fiber and fatty acids.
